The Nigerian Bottling Company Limited (NBC) has successfully wrapped up its #YouthEmpowered training in Kano and Anambra States, benefiting over 1,700 young people with essential skills to boost their careers and entrepreneurship prospects.
NBC’s #YouthEmpowered initiative is part of the company’s commitment to youth development and job creation across Nigeria, providing critical skills for professional growth and economic empowerment. Participants in the Kano and Anambra sessions were trained in areas such as optimizing LinkedIn profiles, mastering project management, leveraging AI-driven business innovations, and navigating strategic negotiations for business.
Olukemi Ogunsakin, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Lead at NBC, expressed the company’s pride in the program’s success, saying, “Recognizing the vital role young Nigerians play in shaping our country’s future, we are proud to have completed training sessions in Kano and Anambra States. Through #YouthEmpowered, we have reached over 50,000 youths across 12 cities. This latest edition empowered over 1,700 more young Nigerians with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive.”
One of the program’s highlights was the Director’s Business Grant, which allowed participants to pitch their ideas for a chance to receive funding. This initiative underscores NBC’s commitment to nurturing young entrepreneurs.

One of the grant winners, Aisha-Abubakar Abbas from Kano, expressed her gratitude, saying, “This training has given me the confidence to pursue my entrepreneurial dreams.”
