The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), in partnership with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), has rolled out free capacity-building courses to equip Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with essential business skills.
According to the NDIC, the programme will focus on strengthening entrepreneurs’ knowledge in digital literacy and financial management, two critical areas for ensuring business stability and long-term growth.
In a statement, the corporation noted that the featured courses include:
- Financial Environment
- Financial Planning and Budgeting
- Introduction to Borrowing and Loans
- Investing
The training is scheduled to commence on Monday, September 15, 2025.
SMEDAN further announced that participants who successfully complete their courses will be awarded certificates, giving them formal recognition that could boost their credibility with investors, lenders, and customers.
Entrepreneurs across Nigeria can register for free via the SME Digital Academy portal at https://smedigitalacademy.com/ndic.
The initiative is expected to deepen financial inclusion, improve access to funding, and enhance the competitiveness of Nigerian MSMEs in an increasingly digital economy.
