NFF Partners Vivacity Group on Future of Work Initiative to Drive Entrepreneurship, Youth Employment, and Innovation

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has entered into a strategic partnership with Vivacity Group, a non-governmental organisation, to advance the Future of Work Initiative (NigeriaWorks 2030), a program designed to boost innovation, entrepreneurship, and youth employment across critical sectors of the economy.

The initiative, which targets the services and care economy, agriculture and agribusiness, creative and cultural industries, and the technology and digital economy, is expected to equip Nigeria’s workforce with the skills and global competitiveness needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

During her visit to the NFF Secretariat on Tuesday, Oluwakemi Ann-Melody Areola, Founder and CEO of Vivacity Group, lauded NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON) for his transformative leadership.

“Through your stewardship, the NFF has not only strengthened Nigeria’s international image but also nurtured homegrown talent and expanded opportunities for young people across the nation. The unifying power of football, championed by your leadership, continues to drive national pride, foster social cohesion, and inspire youth engagement, while simultaneously opening pathways for innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth,” Areola stated.

She noted that NigeriaWorks 2030 is a deliberate effort to prepare youth, professionals, and entrepreneurs for the future of work by ensuring access to new skills, market opportunities, and innovative platforms for enterprise.

In his response, Gusau commended the initiative, pledging that the NFF will continue to support programs that empower the nation’s youth.

“Our administration will always encourage meaningful and positive efforts that enhance opportunities for young people, engage professionals and groups productively, and foster social cohesion while creating value,” he said.

With football serving as a unifying force in Nigeria, the partnership between the NFF and Vivacity Group underscores how sports can be leveraged as a platform not only for national pride but also for economic empowerment and innovation.
