Share

The NG-Cares Grant Programme Batch 2 has returned, specifically targeting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) grappling with the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Initiated under the Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (CARES) Program, this state-level intervention aims to mitigate the local impacts of the global pandemic by safeguarding the livelihoods of vulnerable households and supporting the recovery of local economic activities, with a particular focus on MSMEs.

The NG-Cares Grant Programme, in collaboration with the World Bank, the Federal Government, and the Bank of Industry (BOI), concentrates on supporting the survival of SMEs across Nigeria’s states by implementing three Delivery Link Indicators (DLIs):

  1. DLI 3.1 (Credit Enhancement Grants): Offers financial support to distressed MSEs.
  2. DLI 3.2 (Operations Grants):  Provides one-off grants covering operational expenses like salaries, rent, and utilities.
  3. DLI 3.3 (IT Enhancement Grant):  Facilitates grants for adopting digital technology and integrating platforms.
