Nigerian Breweries Plc (NB) has joined forces with FATE Foundation to empower 1,000 Nigerian students under the Orange Corners Student Ambassadors Programme, an initiative of the Kingdom of the Netherlands aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and innovation within tertiary institutions.

The programme, implemented by Orange Corners Nigeria, promotes entrepreneurship among university students, offering networking opportunities and inspiring them to consider entrepreneurship as a viable career path. Selected student ambassadors serve as role models, encouraging peers to develop innovative solutions and entrepreneurial mindsets.

Speaking on the partnership, NB’s Corporate Affairs Director, Uzodinma Odenigbo, emphasised the company’s commitment to youth empowerment, noting that this initiative will extend the programme’s reach by 1,000 additional students. FATE Foundation will oversee implementation, including student mobilisation, programme coordination, and delivery. The initiative targets students aged 18–35 currently enrolled in tertiary institutions across Lagos, Ogun, and Enugu states.

Odenigbo highlighted NB’s track record in youth development, noting that the company has impacted 2,365 young Nigerians across 24 states and the Federal Capital Territory since renewing its focus on entrepreneurship and youth empowerment.

Echoing this sentiment, FATE Foundation Executive Director Adenike Adeyemi expressed excitement over the collaboration, stating, “Nigerian Breweries has been a longstanding partner with Orange Corners Nigeria. We are delighted to have the company continue to support the programme, reaching an additional 1,000 young Nigerians through the proven Student Ambassadors framework.”

Adeyemi outlined FATE Foundation’s responsibilities, which include designing and delivering the training curriculum, managing student registration and participation, maintaining accurate beneficiary records, and coordinating logistical and technical aspects to ensure effective programme delivery.

Through this partnership, Nigerian Breweries and FATE Foundation aim to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem within Nigerian universities, equipping students with the skills, mentorship, and networks needed to turn innovative ideas into sustainable businesses.
