Senator Abubakar Kyari, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, has emphasized the Federal Government’s commitment to empowering farmers with mechanization to enhance their skills and meet global market demand.

Speaking at a Special Agro Equipment/Agro Expo themed ‘Sustainable Food Security and Agro Produce Export Through Mechanization,’ organized by Eurobase Consult in collaboration with the Ministry, Kyari highlighted the importance of strategic planning and investments in agriculture for economic diversification.

Represented by Engr. Gagare Nadungu, Director II Agric Business and Marketing at the Ministry, Kyari underscored the government’s objective to empower farmers with knowledge, skills, and tools for success, aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s administration vision.

The event, aimed at promoting sustainable agribusiness practices and embracing technology-driven solutions, provides a platform for stakeholders to explore advancements in agricultural machinery and equipment.

Managing Director of Eurobase Consult, Don Ekesiobi, emphasized the need to harness technology to address challenges such as climate change and population growth, stating that mechanization is essential for transforming agricultural systems and ensuring food security.

The exhibition showcased innovations ranging from precision planters to smart irrigation systems, demonstrating the potential to revolutionize farming practices and enhance productivity and efficiency in Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
