The Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy has officially announced the 2025 edition of the Build-A-Thon Holiday Camp, a nationwide summer tech program designed to equip Nigerian children aged 10 to 18 with essential digital and STEM skills. The camp is scheduled to kick off on Monday, August 4, 2025, in Abeokuta, Abuja (FCT), and Kano, with registration now open.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, who shared the news via his X (formerly Twitter) handle, encouraging parents and guardians to seize the opportunity and enroll their children in the hands-on technology bootcamp.
“From Monday, 4th August, we are inviting children aged 10 to 18 to spend their holidays learning, building, and bonding with peers from across Nigeria,” Dr. Tijani wrote.
The Build-A-Thon Holiday Camp is part of the federal government’s broader strategy to promote digital literacy and prepare Nigerian youth for the future of work. The immersive program introduces participants to foundational STEM disciplines, including coding, robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT), through project-based learning, DIY kits, and access to well-equipped tech labs.
“Our hands-on sessions, DIY kits, and technology labs will empower these young minds with the skills to shape their futures. Beyond learning, it’s a space for kids to connect, collaborate, and be inspired together,” the Minister added.
Building on the momentum of last year’s edition, which trained more than 5,000 children across cities like Abeokuta, Maiduguri, and Owerri, organizers aim to reach over 2,000 participants in 2025, with plans to expand to more regions in future editions.
How to Register
Registration is open to all children aged 10–18, regardless of location, and participants will be grouped into regional camps. Interested parents or guardians can register their children via the official registration link:

It complements the broader 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program, one of the Ministry’s flagship projects, which seeks to train 3 million Nigerians in digital skills critical for the country’s digital economy.
The 3MTT program spans both technical and tech-enabled fields, such as digital marketing, data analysis, SEO, CRM, cloud platform navigation, UI/UX design, and project management tools
