The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has partnered with Lonadek Nigeria to strengthen mentorship, entrepreneurship, and skills development among Nigerian engineers. The collaboration was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed at NSE Headquarters in Lagos, with NSE President Engr. Margaret Oguntala and Lonadek Principal Consultant Dr. Ibilola Amao in attendance.
The initiative focuses on identifying and nurturing engineering talent, equipping young professionals with the skills, confidence, and entrepreneurial mindset needed to drive innovation, create jobs, and contribute to national economic growth.
With over 60,000 registered engineers across 77 branches, NSE continues to champion professional excellence. The partnership aims to bridge existing skill gaps and prepare young engineers for leadership roles in key sectors of the Nigerian economy.
Engr. Oguntala emphasized the importance of the programme: “This partnership is a step to upskill Nigerian engineers through continuous professional development and mentorship. The future of engineering lies in our young professionals, and together, we will equip them to lead with competence, innovation, and integrity.”
Dr. Amao highlighted the practical, impact-driven approach of the initiative: “Every engineer must align their passion and talent with a niche where they can create the most value. Through this partnership, we will guide them to discover and develop those strengths. At Lonadek, we focus on the five Es of development: Education, Enlightenment, Empowerment, Engagement, and Entrepreneurship.”
The MoA will leverage NSE’s Continuous Professional Development framework alongside Lonadek’s expertise to implement structured programs that align education with industry needs. The goal is to build a generation of globally competitive, innovation-driven engineers capable of contributing to Nigeria’s industrial and entrepreneurial growth.
