Nigerian Women in PR, a social impact professional organization dedicated to advocating and providing resources for PR professionals in Nigeria and globally, has successfully hosted the first edition of its global Public Relations Business Training program. This initiative was designed for PR entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, and senior executives in agencies across developing economies, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to advancing the professional development of PR professionals, founders, and executives.
Founders’ Insight on the Program
Tolulope Olorundero, Founder of Nigerian Women in PR and Principal Consultant at Mosron Communications, highlighted the program’s unique focus on the challenges of running a PR company in developing economies. She noted, “We conceptualized this business training program exclusively for founders because of the peculiarities of running a PR company, especially in developing economies where founders need to sell their services and educate clients on their necessity.”
Olorundero emphasized the lack of specific programs addressing the transition from freelancing to growing and scaling a PR business, which led to the creation of this training program. “Seeing this significant gap in the global PR industry, we decided to take a decisive step to address it – and now, Cohort 1 is completed,” she said.
