Under the Imole Osun Cash Grant Scheme, the Osun State government has provided N588,105,000.00 to 19,720 residents. Governor Ademola Adeleke, speaking at the launch in Osogbo, emphasized his administration’s commitment to alleviating the hardships faced by the people.

Represented by the Head of Service, Mr. Ayanleye Aina, Adeleke announced that an additional 60,000 identified individuals from the poor segment of the population would receive ATM cards linked to their bank accounts to facilitate access to these grants.

Beneficiaries were selected from the State Social Register for Poor and Vulnerable Households, managed by the State Operation Coordinating Unit, National Social Safety Net Project in the Ministry of Economic Planning, Budget, and Development.

Adeleke reaffirmed his promise to establish a comprehensive Social Protection Policy, aiming to bridge the income gap and provide a safety net for the poor and vulnerable in Osun State.

Each beneficiary received between N25,000 and N30,000, with 10,390 beneficiaries who already had bank accounts able to access and utilize their funds immediately. The remaining 9,330 beneficiaries will receive debit cards, aligning with the Federal Government’s financial inclusion policy.
