Over 3,000 Lagos Entrepreneurs Receive N50,000 Each in Grassroots Empowerment Programme
Share

Over 3,000 small business owners and vulnerable residents in Lagos State have received N50,000 each to boost their enterprises during an empowerment programme organised to support local entrepreneurs and strengthen community livelihoods.

The initiative provided direct financial assistance aimed at improving business sustainability and encouraging self-reliance among small-scale traders, artisans, and low-income earners. Many beneficiaries expressed gratitude, noting that the support would help them expand their ventures, purchase equipment, or increase stock amid rising economic challenges.

Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe, Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, led the coordination of the programme, which was commended for its transparent execution and focus on empowering grassroots entrepreneurs. He emphasised that the initiative aligns with broader efforts to create jobs, stimulate local economies, and promote inclusive growth across Lagos communities.

The empowerment drive, held in commemoration of Barr. Seyi Tinubu’s 40th birthday, also reflects ongoing collaborations between public leaders and community stakeholders to strengthen the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector.

By investing in local entrepreneurs, the programme contributes to Lagos State’s long-term vision of building a thriving economy driven by innovation, small business growth, and shared prosperity.
