Plateau State will host the inaugural Plateau Entrepreneurship and Investment Summit (PLEIS 2025) from July 3rd to 4th, 2025, at the Crispan Suites and Events Centre in Jos. The landmark event is designed to boost enterprise development, attract strategic investment, and foster inclusive economic growth across the state.
Under the theme “Plateau’s Renaissance: Leveraging Innovation, Enterprise, and Strategic Investment,” PLEIS 2025 aims to become a flagship annual gathering for public and private stakeholders, development actors, and entrepreneurs. The summit will serve as a launchpad for scalable business models, investment pipelines, and policy dialogue to drive sustainable progress in Plateau’s economy.
According to Cletus Akhimien, Convener and Lead Technical Partner for Media, the summit is being curated as a deliberate and inclusive platform to unlock investment opportunities, amplify innovative enterprises, and create financing linkages that promote real growth. He stressed that the initiative is both timely and necessary, as Plateau State begins to transition from fragility to stability and from economic stagnation to revitalization.
PLEIS 2025 will shine a spotlight on Plateau’s growing business ecosystem, particularly for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). It will also explore emerging and underutilized sectors such as information technology, agriculture, tourism, energy, and the creative economy sectors that are increasingly recognized as drivers of job creation and innovation.
Preparations for the summit are being guided by extensive consultations with a wide range of stakeholders. These include key Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), the Plateau State Microfinance Development Agency (PLASMIDA), the Plateau State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PLACCIMA), private sector actors, and development partners—all working to ensure local ownership and broad-based participation.
Over the course of the two-day event, participants can expect a dynamic lineup of activities, including:

Akhimien highlighted that PLEIS 2025 is being organized at a moment of renewed optimism in Plateau, bolstered by reforms in digital governance, financial inclusion, and dedicated support for youth and women-led businesses. He called on investors, entrepreneurs, development agencies, regulators, and academic institutions to actively engage, partner, or sponsor sessions at the summit.
