Sahara Group Foundation Launches MADAA Initiative to Boost African Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Share

Sahara Group Foundation has launched the “Making A Difference Around Africa” (MADAA) Initiative, aimed at empowering African entrepreneurs and nurturing local innovation across the continent. The program, introduced at an event in Lagos, offers aspiring business owners access to vital resources, positioning them as future industry leaders.

Chidilim Menakaya, Head of Programmes at Sahara Group Foundation, explained that MADAA aligns with the organization’s Entrepreneurship model, a strategy focused on sustainable economic growth by cultivating local talent and innovation. “MADAA is a strategic platform to identify and support entrepreneurs and social innovators on the brink of success,” Menakaya stated, emphasizing the Foundation’s commitment to building sustainable communities through entrepreneurship.

Open for applications until the end of November 2024, the initiative invites entrepreneurs with exceptional ideas capable of transforming Africa’s economy. Selected participants will gain access to leadership development opportunities and significant resources, including a $100 million support fund and mentorship from industry experts. The rigorous selection process begins in December, with the program set to start in early 2025.

“Through MADAA, we are building a network of partners dedicated to reshaping Africa’s economic landscape,” said Menakaya. “This initiative underscores Sahara Group Foundation’s commitment to sustainable development and strengthening the MSME sector across Africa.”

Entrepreneurs ready to take their ventures to the next level can apply through the Foundation’s website.
