The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) is intensifying efforts to support small businesses through its Weekly Business Clinic, which provides on-the-spot regulatory guidance and advisory services to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The most recent session, held last Friday, was organized in collaboration with the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) and other key government agencies.
The Business Clinic operates as a one-stop advisory hub where MSMEs can directly engage regulators, ask questions, receive compliance support, and explore financing solutions and business development tools all in real time.
SMEDAN says the primary aim is to equip small business owners with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate regulatory requirements, operate formally, and unlock access to loans and other support services vital to business growth.
Participation is open to all MSMEs, who are advised to register via portal.smedan.gov.ng and monitor their emails for weekly updates on clinic sessions.
This initiative is part of SMEDAN’s wider push to reduce the barriers small businesses face, foster formalization, and strengthen the overall competitiveness of Nigeria’s MSME sector.
