The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria, SMEDAN, is set to award Practicing Licenses to over 150 qualified Business Development Service Providers (BDSPs).
According to a press release, SMEDAN is set to award the beneficiaries under the National Business Development Service Providers (BDSPs) Certification and Accreditation Framework on Thursday, October 7, 2021.
A statement from the Corporate Affairs Unit of the Agency stated that the National BDSPs programme is designed to standardize the delivery of Business Development Service (BDS) to MSMEs in Nigeria.
The statement added that the programme sets, structures and systemizes standardized curriculum for the development of relevant BDS for all functional areas of any small business.
The Honourable Minister of State, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Ambassador Mariam Yalwaji Katagum, is expected to be the special guest of honour at the occasion.
In the same vein, the Director General and Chief Executive officer of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, who is the Chief Host, will deliver a lead paper.
Recall that the Honourable Minister of State, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Her Excellency, Ambassador Mariam Yalwaji Katagum inaugurated the National Steering Committee (NSC) of the National Business Development Service Providers (BDSPs) Certification and Accreditation programme on 26th November, 2020 and with this the commencement of the certification process.
