The Stability and Sustenance Business Summit recently concluded in Warri, Delta State, with over 1,000 participants gaining insights into social and economic values essential for business growth. The event, themed ‘Small Business Huge Profit,’ featured Victory Ighelogbo, a seasoned small business growth strategist with over a decade of experience in scaling startups and medium-scale enterprises.
Ighelogbo emphasized the significance of both social and economic aspects in scaling businesses. He explained that the social aspect involves creating unique solutions to existing or potential problems, thereby generating demand for products or services within or beyond the immediate community. He highlighted that as businesses provide solutions and attract sales, they achieve economic growth, resulting in job creation, business sustainability, and profitability.
During the summit, five selected mentees received grants of N50,000.00 each to grow their businesses, along with free mentorship clinics from the Stability and Sustenance team, led by founder and entrepreneur-missionary, Melody Fidel Okwuazu. One of the recipients, Enis Esther, shared that she learned the importance of mentorship, emotional intelligence, excellent customer service, and providing services that address existing or potential challenges.
The Stability and Sustenance Business Summit is Okwuazu’s initiative, aimed at empowering youths through skills acquisition and business growth. Over the past decade, Okwuazu has coached more than 10,000 youths both physically and virtually, disbursed business grants to over 100 youths, and was recognized in late 2023 with ‘The Future Awards Africa Prize for Service to Young People’ for his mentorship efforts.
