Founder of Stability and Sustenance Business and Entrepreneurship Platform, Melody Fidel, has collaborated with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to train and empower over 500 corps members in Calabar, Cross River State, and other states in Nigeria. The town hall training emphasized the importance of acquiring entrepreneurial skills to become employers of labor and contribute to Nigeria’s economic growth.
Melody Fidel encouraged corps members to seize the opportunity to merge skills with education for personal and national benefits. He stressed that entrepreneurship has the potential to boost Nigeria’s economy by creating employment opportunities and reducing crime rates. The program aimed to motivate and empower youths to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic development of the country through business entrepreneurship.
Andrew Zemoh, the NYSC State Director for Cross River State, commended the Stability and Sustenance team for their efforts in motivating and empowering youths. He highlighted the significance of providing corps members with hands-on skills and training that encourage self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
During the program, a sewing machine was presented to Abo Emmanuel, a serving corps member and fashion entrepreneur, along with monetary grants for other corps members. The success of the Stability and Sustenance NYSC partnership program in Calabar sets the stage for the upcoming Stability and Sustenance Summit scheduled to take place in Abuja at the International Conference Centre on February 1, 2024.
