The Sterling One Foundation, co-convener of the Africa Social Impact Summit, has announced the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) as a partner for the event’s third edition, set to take place in Lagos.

In a statement, Dr. Tony Okpanachi, Managing Director and CEO of DBN, highlighted the bank’s long-standing involvement with the summit. He noted, “The DBN has been part of the Africa Social Impact Summit since its inception, with our Chief Economist serving as one of the panelists. We see value in the summit’s drive for increased impact investments to scale sustainable solutions.”

Dr. Okpanachi emphasized the summit’s role in helping DBN reach more enterprises developing impactful solutions to Nigeria’s challenges. “This Summit presents a good opportunity to engage these enterprises and offer them ways to scale and grow,” he said.

Mrs. Olapeju Ibekwe, CEO of Sterling One Foundation, expressed her excitement about partnering with DBN. She noted the valuable insights DBN brings from serving Nigeria’s vibrant MSME sector and hinted at the benefits for summit attendees seeking credit for their impact-focused solutions.

The third edition of the Africa Social Impact Summit will be held from July 25 to 26, 2024, at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos, Nigeria.
