The Taraba State Government, under the leadership of Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas, has rolled out a new initiative aimed at boosting small businesses and creating economic opportunities across the state. As part of the initiative, a total of N442 million has been disbursed to 7,015 eligible micro and small enterprises in Jalingo.
Governor Kefas, represented by his deputy, Aminu Abdullahi Alkali, emphasized the importance of utilizing the funds effectively to foster business growth and strengthen the state’s economy. He encouraged the beneficiaries to channel the financial assistance towards improving their businesses, which, in turn, would drive sustainable economic development at the grassroots level.
The initiative is part of the state’s broader economic empowerment efforts. Polycarp Adi, the coordinator of the Taraba Community Action for Resilience and Economic Stimulus (TRCARE), also called on beneficiaries to use the funds wisely to ensure the success of the program. The state government has committed to providing guidance, training, and monitoring to ensure that the businesses thrive and contribute to the overall prosperity of the state.
This initiative reflects the government’s focus on supporting local entrepreneurship and enhancing economic resilience in Taraba State.
