Techstars and ARM Labs Announce Second Cohort of 12 Game-Changing African Startups
Share

Techstars, the leading startup investor in Africa, has unveiled its second cohort for the ARM Labs Lagos Techstars Accelerator, comprised of 12 innovative companies across Sub-Saharan Africa.

The ARM Labs Lagos Techstars Accelerator, in partnership with Techstars and ARM Labs, is nurturing entrepreneurs who leverage technology to reshape Africa and the global landscape.

This year’s cohort, selected from over a thousand applications, spans diverse sectors including FinTech, Logistics, HealthTech, Renewable Energy, and more. Notably, it includes four teams led by at least one female co-founder.

These startups will undergo a 14-week immersive program, benefiting from investments of up to $120,000 per startup, access to over $400,000 in support services, mentorship, and a global network provided by Techstars.

The program aims to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s food production agenda, enhance access to clean energy, and foster innovative solutions for the informal economy in Africa.

Moreover, the accelerator program will conclude with an exclusive Demo day on February 22nd, 2024, offering an opportunity for founders to showcase their progress.

Supported by expert mentorship from seasoned figures in Africa’s tech ecosystem, this initiative stands to contribute significantly to the growth and success of these emerging companies.

The collaboration between Techstars and ARM Labs marks a pivotal step in propelling the African tech ecosystem forward, providing comprehensive support for startups to thrive and make a lasting impact.
