TERAWORK: Newest Mobile App to Hire Talent
Share

TERAWORK, a firm that creates economic opportunities through long-term talent supply, has released an iOS and Android mobile app to assist employers and entrepreneurs in hiring, managing, and communicating with vetted talent in real time.

The software, which is becoming more widely available this week, links into a rising trend among large and small firms to use a worldwide talent pool to complete jobs on a rapid, short, or temporary basis.

Femi Taiwo, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TERAWORK, said the software will be a “game changer,” especially for firms that are having increasing difficulty finding staff with the required skillsets to ensure growth.

According to him, “TERAWORK prioritises the growth and sustainability of large and small businesses. About 90 per cent of African companies fail within five years of their existence, contrary to their Western counterparts, who have unlimited access to skilled talent given their adoption of on-demand hiring.”

He further said: “More importantly, we are cognisant of the fact that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) play an important role in the job creation process since they account for more than 70 per cent of employment worldwide. As businesses thrive, more jobs will be created, extending economic opportunities to every segment of the economy. The TERAWORK Pay-As-You-Go hiring solution mobile app, therefore, is extending the window of opportunities for all entrepreneurs to utilise the expansive global and local talent pool to execute business tasks.”

When it comes to the operating environment, Taiwo explained that “the reasons for the high failure rate among African businesses, include the inability to hire great talent quickly, limited flexibility in onboarding vetted talent on short-term contracts, and the non-existence of trusted platforms to fully manage the remote workforce.”

“Small businesses with lean budgets often settle for unvetted referrals from friends and relatives. Also, many highly skilled professionals in high demand by companies are no longer interested in full-time roles, while geographical barriers limit access to talent in some cases. Businesses located outside of major cities are mostly hit,” he said.

He emphasized that global and local businesses are battling it out for people in order to boost production and stay competitive.

For example, Amazon and Google use verified hiring platforms to complete crucial work on a short or temporary basis as needed. This portends a bright future for job execution across all industries.

Meanwhile, TERAWORK’s CEO stated that the mobile app’s on-the-go functionality enhances freelancers’ chances of being hired by local and international clients, and that the company believes Africa can be a global digital services powerhouse with billion-dollar potential for highly qualified freelancers.

According to the efficiency level of work delivered by existing freelancers on the platform, TERAWORK has a 99 percent job success rate. The new unique software was created to assist customers in discovering outstanding African talent and can be accessible by downloading the most recent versions of the mobile app from app stores (Apple AppStore and Google PlayStore).
