Nigeria’s leading entrepreneurial reality TV show, The Next Titan, has officially launched its 10th anniversary season, unveiling a record-breaking N50 million prize fund to support young innovators and job creators.
At the Lagos premiere, Executive Producer Mide Akinlaja emphasized that the show goes far beyond entertainment, positioning itself as a strategic platform for entrepreneurship and youth empowerment.
“The Next Titan demystifies entrepreneurship by scouting for young people with entrepreneurial acumen, grooming them through mentorship and challenges, and eventually funding their business ideas,” Akinlaja said. “It has inspired thousands of viewers to shift from being job seekers to becoming job providers.”
This milestone season—tagged “The Unconventional”—features 20 finalists selected from nationwide auditions in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Lagos, as well as online submissions. Contestants will face 10 weeks of rigorous business tasks, including sales, marketing, philanthropy, and community service, with weekly boardroom-style evictions.
The winner will receive N40 million, while the first, second, and third runners-up will take home N5 million, N3 million, and N2 million respectively.
The Lagos State Government praised the show’s contribution to youth empowerment and economic growth. Representing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Akinyemi Bankole Ajigbotafe, Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, described The Next Titan as a movement shaping Nigeria’s future.
“I urge these entrepreneurs to create jobs and uplift our nation,” Ajigbotafe said.
The title sponsorship for this milestone edition comes from Betano, a global gametech and betting company with operations in 20 countries. The season now carries the branding Betano The Next Titan.
Daniel Lamberti, Senior Business Development and Commercial Manager at Betano, highlighted the shared values of innovation and perseverance between the company and the reality show.
“This partnership is more than sponsorship—it is a commitment to helping young Nigerians achieve their best,” Lamberti said.
He noted that with over 13 million customers globally, Betano sees this collaboration as an opportunity to foster resilience, creativity, and innovation among Nigerian youths.
