UBA Wins Multiple Prestigious International Awards, Including Global Finance Best SME Bank For 2023

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, Africa’s Global Bank, has secured several prestigious international awards, reaffirming its global leadership and significant contributions to Africa’s economic development. Recognized as Global Finance’s Best SME Bank for 2023 in Nigeria, Ghana, and Mozambique, UBA’s commitment to supporting small and medium-scale businesses is highlighted. The bank also received the 2023 FMDQ Gold Awards in three key categories and was named Global Finance’s Safest Bank in Senegal.

On the global stage, UBA Ghana achieved recognition at the World Business Outlook Awards for 2023, winning Best Banking Services Provider Ghana 2023, Leading Financial Services Institutions Ghana 2023, and Banking CEO of the Year Ghana 2023. Additionally, UBA was celebrated at The Bankers Awards 2023, winning Bank of the Year Africa and securing nine prestigious awards in various categories.

UBA’s Group Managing Director, Oliver Alawuba, expressed gratitude for the awards, emphasizing the bank’s dedication to delivering top-notch banking services and creating superior value for stakeholders. The Banker’s Editor, Joy Macknight, highlighted UBA’s consistent excellence, stating that the bank remains a clear winner across a wide range of criteria.

Recently achieving a market capitalization of N1 trillion and witnessing substantial share growth, UBA continues to demonstrate a robust growth trajectory and unwavering market confidence. With a presence in 20 African countries and connections across the globe, UBA plays a pivotal role in retail, commercial, and corporate banking, cross-border payments, remittances, trade finance, and ancillary banking services.
