Uganda Launches MSME Financing Gateway to Boost Small Business Growth
Share

In a major initiative aimed at strengthening Uganda’s MSME sector, the *MSME Financing Gateway Platform* has been launched to provide essential financial and business resources for small and medium-sized enterprises. This platform is expected to create jobs, stimulate economic growth, and contribute significantly to Uganda’s prosperity.

The platform was launched by the Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU), the leading body representing over 330 associations and corporate entities, in collaboration with the International Trade Centre (ITC), a United Nations and World Trade Organization agency. The project is part of the *EU-EAC Market Access Upgrade Programme (MARKUP II)*, funded by the European Union.

Beyond financing, the platform offers a variety of resources to support MSME growth, including industry news, event notifications, and a rich library of downloadable learning materials designed to improve business knowledge and skills.

By providing these tools, the MSME Financing Gateway aims to empower entrepreneurs, helping them overcome challenges and unlock new opportunities in Uganda’s dynamic business landscape.
