Applications are now open for the 2025 WAAW (Working to Advance STEM Education for African Women) Foundation Scholarship. The scholarship supports young African women pursuing undergraduate degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), empowering them to excel academically while inspiring other young women to explore STEM careers.
About the Program
The WAAW Foundation is dedicated to bridging the gender gap in STEM by providing financial support and leadership opportunities for talented but financially disadvantaged women across Africa. Beyond financial aid, beneficiaries join a community that encourages mentorship, innovation, and social impact through the foundation’s STEM Outreach Chapters in universities.
Why It Matters
Women remain significantly underrepresented in STEM fields across Africa. This scholarship is more than financial support , it’s an investment in the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and community leaders who will use STEM to transform Africa’s development landscape.
