Share

The Wunti Al-Khair Foundation has successfully trained more than 200 Nigerian youths in various career-oriented skills through its ‘Skills for Employability Program.’ This initiative aligns with the vision of the Foundation’s Founder and Chairman, Bala Wunti, aiming to combat unemployment among Bauchi State youths.

Conducted in Bauchi, the program attracted over 200 participants, including final-year students, recent graduates, and NYSC Corps members. The event featured six industry experts who facilitated insightful sessions aimed at enhancing participants’ employability.

The program’s sessions covered essential aspects crucial for career advancement. The first session, led by Adewale Onagbesan, focused on ‘Leadership and Networking for Career Advancement.’ Participants learned strategic networking methods and core leadership principles for professional growth.

Motunrayo Alake facilitated the second session on ‘CV Writing,’ guiding participants on crafting effective resumes and understanding their significance in job applications.

The ‘Volunteerism for Career Path’ session, led by Seun Justin Onarinde, emphasized the advantages of volunteer work in career development, offering practical examples to underscore its importance.

Ahmad Yusuf, a digital media expert, conducted the ‘Personal and Professional Branding’ session, enlightening participants on managing their digital presence and harnessing digital opportunities.

Deborah Sarki, a successful entrepreneur, shared her journey and insights on ‘Entrepreneurial Mindset’ to guide aspiring business owners.

The ‘Career Paths in Tech’ session, delivered by Ango Mustapha, provided an in-depth analysis of the tech industry, offering guidance on navigating its dynamic landscape.

A panel discussion addressed misconceptions about the enterprise and job market, aiming to provide clarity and dispel barriers hindering youth progress.

During the event, Mohammed Basheer Bala-Wunti, the Foundation’s Executive Director, reiterated the core vision of empowering Bauchi State’s youth, enabling them to become employable individuals and successful entrepreneurs. He emphasized the Foundation’s commitment to fostering positive change and building a more prosperous community by imparting skills that will have a lasting impact on the state’s youth.
