Share

Hajiya Zainab-Nasare Idris, the wife of the Kebbi Governor, has demonstrated her commitment to women empowerment by donating ₦10 million to the Association of Kebbi Women Entrepreneurs. This generous contribution aims to boost the businesses of women entrepreneurs and encourage their active participation in various trades.

The donation, announced during a fair that attracted participants from across North-Western States, underscores the importance of supporting women to stand on their feet economically. Hajiya Zainab-Nasare Idris emphasized the need for every participant to benefit from the grant, thereby enhancing their businesses and fostering economic independence.

Highlighting the success of the fair in achieving its goals and objectives, the governor’s wife urged women not to be discouraged but to strive to become employers of labor. Her encouragement reflects a commitment to fostering a culture of entrepreneurship among women and reducing their dependence on their husbands for financial support.

The convener of the fair, Hajiya Maryam Bello-Bala, emphasized the significance of providing a platform for women to showcase their talents and increase their participation in various business ventures. She appealed for more support for women entrepreneurs across the state, recognizing the importance of reducing dependence on spouses for financial resources

Overall, the donation and the fair represent important steps towards empowering women entrepreneurs in Kebbi State, fostering economic growth, and promoting gender equality in business.
