Community Pot in partnership with Sterling One, Sterling Bank, and with support of the Lagos State Ministry of Health, and the Local Government Committee on Food and Nutrition, announces the official flag-off of the “Zero Toddler Malnutrition Ecosystem” project. This significant initiative aims to harness the power of the Ecosystem, to tackle the growing issue of malnutrition among toddlers and is poised to have a considerable impact on improving the overall nutritional status of the Nigerian populace.
The activation of the “Zero Toddler Malnutrition Ecosystem” project comes on the heels of the recently concluded pilot program executed by Community Pot as well as data from other similar initiatives. The ecosystem activation is designed to enable independent members to collaborate with other players with distinct goals more efficiently.
The “Zero Toddler Malnutrition Ecosystem” project is a platform that enables various players to intersect at different points towards achieving their final objectives. The ecosystem provides a platform for seamless collaboration, coordination among different parties as well as the centralization of Data of toddler nutritional status in Nigeria.

The “Zero Toddler Malnutrition Ecosystem” project is an all-encompassing initiative that targets the root causes of malnutrition. The ecosystem players will provide various interventions that improve food quality from the production stage to the distribution stage and household levels, across the Nigerian toddler population. The “Zero Toddler Malnutrition Ecosystem” project’s success relies on partnerships with critical stakeholders, including government ministries, civil society organizations, private sector businesses, and development partners. Food Concepts Plc, SteerforNewBorn, and the Nutrition Department of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Lagos Food bank have indicated their intent to be leading advocates of the initiative, among other ecosystem players.
This collaboration is fundamental to the initiative’s success, as every contribution is necessary to achieve the project’s end goal of eradicating malnutrition in Nigerian toddlers by 2030.The campaign to funnel all the “Zero Toddler Malnutrition Ecosystem” players is set to commence on the 27th of May, 2023.
