Bank of Industry and Oluremi Tinubu Renewed Hope Initiative Collaborate to Empower Women, Youth, and Children

The Bank of Industry (BoI) has unveiled its intent to join forces with the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), spearheaded by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu. This strategic partnership is set to extend support to women, youth, and children across various sectors, fortifying the prospects of empowerment and progress.

During a recent visit, BoI’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Olukayode Pitan, along with Executive Director (BoI Micro Enterprises), Mabel Ndagi, engaged in fruitful discussions with the First Lady, cementing their shared commitment to uplifting communities.

Pitan illuminated BoI’s expansive reach, encompassing over 2.5 million individuals across all 36 states of the federation. This extensive network underpins their readiness to collaborate with First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, amplifying her vision of empowering people across the spectrum.

With a determined focus on alleviating the challenges faced by women in critical sectors such as agriculture, health, social investment, education, and economic empowerment, Pitan radiated optimism about the positive impact this collaboration could achieve, particularly at the grassroots level. First Lady Oluremi Tinubu warmly embraced BoI’s willingness to align with the Renewed Hope Initiative’s goals.

The First Lady underscored the core target of the RHI – vulnerable women who lack the means to provide collateral for startup loans. With this in mind, the First Lady expressed hope that BoI’s support would extend the necessary financial aid in this crucial arena. The convergence of BoI’s financial expertise and RHI’s empowerment drive is poised to reshape opportunities for these underrepresented groups.

As a gesture of goodwill and in the spirit of partnership, Pitan presented a copy of BoI’s Annual General Report to the First Lady, symbolizing a mutual commitment to transparency, progress, and shared objectives.

The First Lady, resonating with BoI’s Triple-A rating as a reputable financial institution, expressed her elation at their enthusiastic involvement in the Renewed Hope Initiative. She envisaged a synergistic journey forward, one where the combined efforts of RHI and BoI would pave the way for tangible transformation in the lives of women, youth, and children.

As this partnership takes root, it holds the potential to be a beacon of empowerment, catalyzing positive change and opening doors of opportunity for those who have long yearned for a chance to thrive.
