Call For Applications: Together Women Rise Featured Grants Program: Empowering Women and Girls  ( Up to $35,000 – $50,000 Grants)

Together Women Rise is dedicated to empowering women and girls in low-income and marginalized communities in the Global South through its Featured Grants Program.

This program provides funding to organizations that focus on capacity building, program expansion, and new initiatives designed to improve the lives of women and girls facing systemic inequality. Each month, Together Women Rise highlights a different organization or project, offering valuable learning materials and promoting it across its nationwide chapters, website, newsletters, and social media platforms.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must have a minimum of $100,000 operating expenses annually for the most recent fiscal year.
  • Applicant must demonstrate capacity and on-the-ground operations in low-income communities in the Global South for a minimum of three years.
  • Applicant must provide data regarding the direct impact of the organization’s program(s) that the grant would support.
  • Women must make up the majority of the leadership of your organization (i.e. board of directors and staff) at the time of application.
  • Applicant must demonstrate fiscally responsible and sustainable practices within their organization.
  • Applicant must have a website in English, unless using a fiscal sponsor.
  • Applicant must submit all information requested on the grant application in English.
  • Applicant must provide additional information as deemed necessary for Together Women Rise to make the grant decision.
  • Applicant has not received a Together Women Rise grant within the past four years.
  • If the applicant has previously received a Rise grantee, it must have satisfied ALL of Rise’s reporting requirements for that past grant.
  • Applicants must adhere to Together Women Rise’s Religion Policy.

Together Women Rise recognizes that to achieve gender equality, women and girls must have equitable and consistent access to quality health care, which includes safe and full scope of sexual and reproductive health services and education.

Key Details of the Featured Grant:

  • Grant Amount: $35,000 to $50,000, paid over a 24-month period (2 years).
  • Number of Grants: We award at least 12 Featured Grants annually.
  • Eligible Organizations: Organizations with operating budgets of $100,000 or above may apply.
  • For capacity-building grants, organizations with budgets between $100,000 and $1 million are eligible.
  • Grant Term: 24 months (2 years).
  • Frequency of Grants: Organizations may receive only one Featured Grant per four-year period.

Timeline

  • May 6, 2025, at 9 a.m. ET: Application portal opens.
  • June 6, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET: Deadline for submitting all grant applications and supporting documents (no exceptions).
  • November 2025: Approved grantees will be notified.
  • December 2025: Notifications will be sent to organizations that were not approved.
