Microsoft 4Afrika SME Capacity Building Initiative is delivered by Ydev Academy.
The world has endured multiple challenges this year including a pandemic that has spurred a global economic crisis. As societies reopen, it’s apparent that the working landscape has changed forever. Digital skills are needed now more than ever to fill new jobs and help businesses grow. The plan of Microsft and Ydevacademy is to provide easy access to digital skills for people hardest hit by job losses, including those with lower incomes, women, and underrepresented minorities.
To help address this need, Microsoft is launching a global skills initiative aimed at bringing more digital skills to 25 million people worldwide by the end of the year.
To address this in Africa under the 4Afrika SME capacity Initiative, Microsoft is partnering with Ydev to train SMEs, startups and freelancers across Africa on digital tools for SMEs.
- The use of data to identify in-demand jobs and the skills needed to fill them
- Free access to learning paths and content to help people develop the skills these positions require
- Low-cost certifications and free job-seeking tools to help people who develop these skills pursue new jobs and grow their businesses
Having digital skills is fundamental to success in today’s economy. Learn in-demand digital skills for free with Microsoft and unlock new opportunities for yourself or your business.
Classes will be 100% virtual.
