The Lafarge Africa Graduate Trainee Programme, known for its commitment to cultivating exceptional leadership in young talents, has equipped these graduates with the skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen fields. In a remarkable stride towards gender diversity, 60% of the successful graduates are female, in alignment with Lafarge Africa’s inclusive ethos.
Championing the theme of industrial talent, the 2022 stream of the program was meticulously designed to attract individuals with engineering backgrounds, primarily from disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, and mining engineering. Handpicked from a pool of over 5,000 applicants, these bright minds are now poised to bring their unique perspectives and fresh insights to the forefront of the industry.
The journey to this graduation milestone encompassed a rigorous curriculum. Trainees were immersed in intensive functional training, a blend of classroom learning, and dynamic functional rotations. This comprehensive approach was capped off with a transformative learning session in collaboration with the esteemed Lagos Business School.

During the graduation ceremony, Mr. Gbemiga Owolabi, the Organisation & Human Resources Director at Lafarge Africa Plc, shared invaluable insights.
