Former Senate President, Senator Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, launched a significant empowerment drive today in Yobe State’s Gashua town, marking the distribution of entrepreneurship and empowerment materials across Yobe North Senatorial District. The empowering event took place at the Gashua Bade Local Government Area township stadium.
Senator Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan presented an array of items aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and supporting the economic growth of the region. These items included Land Cruiser Jeeps allocated to the four APC party Chairmen within the Senatorial District, Peaugeot 406s for Secretaries, Peaugeot 307s for Coordinators, and Peaugeot 307s for 10 Youth leaders. Additionally, the distribution comprised Sharon Buses for Women Leaders, along with Tractors, Rice Millers, combined Harvesters, Hand Tractors, Rice Planters, fire-fighting trucks, 18-seater buses, fridges, freezers, tricycle carriers, tricycles, Keke NAPEP, Motorcycles, grinding machines, sewing machines, water pumps, hand sprayers, Pots, stoves, Generators, small harvesters, and more.
Addressing the gathering, the Chairman Caretaker Committee of Bade LGA, Alhaji Ibrahim Babagana, emphasized the crucial role of micro, small, and medium-sized businesses in driving sustainable economic growth and creating employment opportunities. He highlighted the significance of collaborative efforts from political, business leaders, and individuals in supporting small business growth and job creation.
