Lawan Empowers Yobe North with Mega Entrepreneurship Materials and Vehicles

Former Senate President, Senator Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, launched a significant empowerment drive today in Yobe State’s Gashua town, marking the distribution of entrepreneurship and empowerment materials across Yobe North Senatorial District. The empowering event took place at the Gashua Bade Local Government Area township stadium.

Senator Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan presented an array of items aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and supporting the economic growth of the region. These items included Land Cruiser Jeeps allocated to the four APC party Chairmen within the Senatorial District, Peaugeot 406s for Secretaries, Peaugeot 307s for Coordinators, and Peaugeot 307s for 10 Youth leaders. Additionally, the distribution comprised Sharon Buses for Women Leaders, along with Tractors, Rice Millers, combined Harvesters, Hand Tractors, Rice Planters, fire-fighting trucks, 18-seater buses, fridges, freezers, tricycle carriers, tricycles, Keke NAPEP, Motorcycles, grinding machines, sewing machines, water pumps, hand sprayers, Pots, stoves, Generators, small harvesters, and more.

Addressing the gathering, the Chairman Caretaker Committee of Bade LGA, Alhaji Ibrahim Babagana, emphasized the crucial role of micro, small, and medium-sized businesses in driving sustainable economic growth and creating employment opportunities. He highlighted the significance of collaborative efforts from political, business leaders, and individuals in supporting small business growth and job creation.

Commending the continuous support from Governor Mai Mala Buni and Senator Lawan, Alhaji Ibrahim Babagana credited their dedication to empowering the community through various impactful initiatives spanning two decades. He expressed gratitude on behalf of Bade Local Government area for the consistent commitment to improving livelihoods and creating opportunities for the people.

Senator Lawan extended appreciation to Governor Mai Mala Buni for his unwavering support and emphasized his commitment to serving the people of Yobe North. He urged beneficiaries to make optimal use of the empowerment materials provided, assuring continued dedication to the welfare and development of the region.

Representing the beneficiaries, Malam Lawan Bulama conveyed heartfelt gratitude to Senator Lawan for the empowerment materials, acknowledging their potential to secure livelihoods and improve economic conditions.

Governor Mai Mala Buni, in his address, advised the beneficiaries to utilize the materials effectively to enhance their economic prospects, encouraging prudent use rather than selling the items.
