The MTN Foundation joins forces with the Beeta Universal Arts Foundation to empower young Nigerian playwrights at the recent Beeta Playwright Competition, held on February 7, 2024. This edition, unlike previous years, featured 40 selected candidates competing for the coveted title.
The competition provides a platform for budding playwrights to showcase their literary skills and tell authentic indigenous stories, nurturing emerging talents and promoting dynamic Nigerian writing talent.
Olaide Mohammed, a native of Kwara with roots in Lagos, emerged as the winner of the sixth Beeta Playwright Competition, demonstrating exceptional talent and dedication. She received a host of prizes, including a $3,000 cheque, a laptop, and other valuable rewards.
