Since its launch, Nigeria’s MSME Survival Fund and Guaranteed Offtake Scheme has reached 1,258,183 beneficiaries across all 36 states and the FCT, supporting small business employees, artisans, and service providers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This was shared by Mr. Tola Adekunle-Johnson, Special Assistant to the President on MSMEs, during a town hall meeting in Bauchi.
Representing the Minister of State for Trade, Industry and Investment, Hajiya Maryam Katagum, Sir Joseph Ari praised the initiative’s dual focus on registered MSMEs and self-employed individuals. The program has provided three months’ salary support to over 496,894 employees and continues to prioritize female and special-needs beneficiaries.
Additionally, in Bauchi State, the scheme supported 33,309 individuals. The program is on track to save 1.3 million jobs nationwide, ensuring economic resilience and livelihood support for MSMEs and vulnerable individuals across Nigeria.
