In honor of its 30th anniversary, pioneering pharmaceutical and beauty retailer, Medplus Pharmacy Limited, is set to make a remarkable impact. The company has unveiled plans to offer a $30,000 grant to a deserving female entrepreneur, alongside providing free healthcare services to 30 communities across Nigeria. This initiative stems from Medplus’ commitment to inspire entrepreneurs, particularly women, and to assist underprivileged communities.

Managing Director of Medplus, Joke Bakare, shared this exciting news at the company’s Lagos headquarters. She emphasized that these projects align perfectly with the anniversary theme, ‘Built to Last’. The official launch of these initiatives will coincide with Medplus’ 13th-anniversary celebration on November 9, 2023.

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs will extend across various regions of Nigeria, focusing on providing basic health and wellness services to those who may not have had access otherwise. Joke Bakare emphasized, “We want to support and inspire women-led businesses, especially in health, beauty, and wellness. We’re offering a grant of $30,000, alongside valuable information and networking opportunities for a female entrepreneur.”

To be eligible for the grant, entrepreneurs should have been in business for at least two years. Medplus aims to open doors by providing access to their distribution network and offering partnership opportunities.

Head of Operations and Strategy, Mr. Ife Bakare, stressed the significance of the ‘Delivering Wellness’ community outreach program. This initiative is an integral part of the anniversary celebration, allowing Medplus to share its expertise with the wider public.
