NBC, IBM empowers 22,000 Nigerian Youths in five years

NBC, IBM empowers 22,000 Nigerian Youths in five years

According to the Nigerian Bottling Corporation, between 2017 when the company launched its youth empowerment initiative and the present, over 22,000 youths have been empowered across 10 cities and seven campuses in the digital space in cooperation with International Business Machines.

NBC at the company’s youth empowerment program in Owerri, Imo State, in a statement said the initiative was a part of the organization’s commitment to strategically complement national efforts to help youths realize their potential while fostering an environment for business that fosters innovation and the expansion of the Nigerian economy.

The statement read in part, “NBC’s Youth Empowered initiative which commenced in 2017 and has since impacted over 22,000 youths. The initiative is part of the organisation’s commitment to strategically complement national efforts towards enabling youths to unleash their potential while creating an enabling business environment that supports innovation and growth of the Nigerian economy.”

The Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Directors, NBC, Ekuma Eze, said he was elated to expand the opportunities for Nigerian youths.
